Research has proven, that spending time in nature, (forest bathing), allows us to inhale beneficial bacteria, which interact with gut bacteria to strengthen the immune system and improve mental and physical health. In our practice, we use it as a way to promote interest in self healing and mental well being and have found it particularly beneficial when treating stress, anxiety, emotional trauma and depression.

Ocean wildlife is susceptible to the effects of environmental pollution from persistent bio-accumulating contaminants. They enter the marine environment in industrial and agricultural runoff. They accumulate in the fatty tissues of marine organisms and magnify up the food web, reaching their highest level in killer whales. When sufficiently concentrated, these contaminants impede immune function and impair reproduction.
Ocean Pollution Research Program is investigating the potential impacts that persistent, bioaccumulative, and toxic (PBT) chemicals might have on the health of killer whales.

’A time to Re-Evaluate your Life’
As I have had many requests to "Re-Post" this Event on a more convenient day, it is being "re-posted" with some changes. This is a "Lent" event. A time to Re-Evaluate your Life. There must be a minimum of "10" people in order for this Outing to Proceed. If it needs to be cancelled again, it will be run again in the fall. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, the 40 days of preparation for the Easter season when, in the Christian calendar, Christians are asked to deepen their spirituality through the practices of fasting, gratitude, and giving/back/giving up.
Regardless of your religion, like exercise, we do for these things for our physical health — (because improving our spiritual health also improves our mental health which benefits our physical health).
